Louis began racing as a teenager driving a 1969 Chevy Nova SS street-legal drag car that he built himself. Armed with lightning reflexes and smooth shifting ability, Louis found easy success in drag racing on and off the track. After several years though, he needed something more mentally and physically challenging than the foot to the floor routine of drag racing. Formula racing was the perfect answer. In 1998 Louis made the decision to switch over and pursue his new dream of becoming Formula 1 World Champion.

He sold his beloved drag car and used the proceeds to obtain his Formula racing license. Louis graduated from the full course at the world-renowned Skip Barber Racing School but not before thoroughly impressing his instructors by driving much faster than the rest of his classmates. What would you expect from a former drag racer?

After finishing racing school, Louis saved all the earnings from his second job as an overnight garage attendant (sleeping only two hours every night in a chair) and entered his first few races where he did well enough to continue on. Since then, Louis or "Topspeed" as he’s known to friends and fans, has been competing primarily in Formula Dodge and has been impressive by finishing on the podium against more experienced drivers and often claiming most progressive driver awards. The most progressive driver award is given to the driver who has gained the most positions during the course of the race. Amazing results indeed!

Louis is also a successful kart racer with hundreds of karting wins to his credit. He still competes in sprint and endurance karting to maintain his skills, reflexes, and physical conditioning. His other racing experience includes Formula Ford, Formula 2000 and Stock cars. Currently, Louis is searching for additional sponsors to help him compete on a championship level in the Indy Pro Series and the Star Mazda Pro Series. These televised, national racing championships offer tremendous exposure and ROI for sponsors while showcasing the talent of tomorrow's future racing stars.
